Barbara Duval Jewell has served as Chancellor since June, 2020, having previously served as Vice-Chancellor and Church Attorney. She has practiced law in Danville, California, since November, 1982, with the Gagen McCoy law firm. Her practice focuses on prevention and resolution of real estate disputes involving construction defects, purchase and sale of homes, construction contracts, leases, easements, trees and views, mechanic’s lien claims and homeowner’s association controversies.
She has lived in Benicia with her husband Jim since 1983. They have raised four children and now are fortunate to have two grandchildren nearby. She has been an active member of St. Paul’s, Benicia for over 37 years, serving on the vestry and as Senior Warden and as a Lay Eucharistic Minister. She graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 1981, and from the University of Texas at Austin in 1969.
Her hobbies include reading, gardening, cooking and genealogy.
